EDGE Esports Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving teens ages 13-18 across the Coastal Bend. We use competitive gaming as the hook — but the real work happens in four areas:
- Competitive Esports — structured competition that builds teamwork, strategy, and performance under pressure
- College & Career Pathways — scholarships, higher education connections, and exposure to STEM careers
- STEM & Leadership Education — hands-on learning that connects gaming with technology, problem-solving, and leadership
- Student Wellness — building balance, resilience, and healthy habits in and out of the game
At EDGE, we don’t just run programs — we measure them. Each season, we conduct pre- and post-season surveys with both students and parents to track real developmental outcomes: confidence, communication, leadership, STEM interest, college interest, and future readiness.
Here’s what the data showed after just one semester of participation in EDGE Esports:
- 266% increase in communication confidence

One EDGE student recently earned a full-ride varsity esports scholarship to Texas A&M University-Kingsville — the first of its kind for a Coastal Bend high schooler.
